Aviation Services Ireland (“ASI”) has offices in Dublin, Ireland and North Carolina, USA. ASI staff are experts in proration – the pricing of interline billings between domestic and international airlines around the world.
ASI provides quality assurance to over 30 of the most profitable airline customers around the world (including 2 airline customers in China) on the accuracy of passenger interline billings.
Within the airline industry it is standard practice for Revenue Management to agree the contents and application of Special Prorate Agreements (“SPA”) with their partner airlines. However, in many cases the revenue accounting system may accept overbillings or send out incorrect billings that are not agreed in the SPA. It is industry best practice for airlines to use the services of ASI to obtain assurance that they are invoicing and paying the correct amounts to their interline partner airlines.
Aviation Services Ireland will check the customer airline outward and inward passenger billings to highlight where the customer airline may be losing money – (reducing the airline agreed yield!). The ASI service is commission based – if ASI does not find money for the customer airline then there is no fee for our service.
